Objectives
This committee, composed of members whose ministerial decision regarding their registration as recognized patent attorneys were published within the past five years, will represent the interests of new members and ensure their integration into the Institute.
The committee aims to bridge the gap between being “in training” and being a “newly qualified” attorney. For example: What is the role of the Institute? What are my rights and obligations as an attorney, etc.?
Projects
Support – Creating a “Welcome Pack” for new members and providing support before and after the Belgian (BE) examination are the most immediate and practical initiatives that can be launched quickly.
PR – In collaboration with the PR Committee, ideas include showcasing recently qualified Belgian patent attorneys, maintaining an updated member directory with brief bios to facilitate networking, and offering website support for the (BE) exam registration process. The committee is also considering organizing at least one event before or after the BE exam.
Training – In cooperation with the Training Committee, a centralized training proposal is being considered. There is also discussion about exploring the possibility of suspending the permanent education requirement for a certain number of years following the EQE.
