Objectives
This committee is responsible for coordinating initial training for future members of the Institute as well as continuing professional development for the members of the Institute.
In this capacity, it designs educational programs, supervises training, cooperates with other organizations on training matters, etc. The education committee may also propose improvements to the regulations concerning the organization of continuing professional development to the general assembly.
Projects
– Short-term: development of a list or guidelines for courses eligible for continuing education.
– Short-term: design of a template in which patent attorneys can record the courses they have attended.
– Short-term: proposal to the council regarding a form of communication for the committee, such as email, newsletter, website…
– Long-term: potential proposal for specific training on Belgian patent law and patent practice.
