De Raad is verantwoordelijk voor het bestuur en de continu\u00efteit van het Instituut. De samenstelling moet een evenwicht weerspiegelen tussen taalgroepen: maximaal twee leden mogen tot dezelfde taalgroep behoren. Daarnaast dient de samenstelling van de Raad de regels omtrent geslacht te respecteren.<\/p>\n<p>De Raad wordt geleid door een voorzitter en een ondervoorzitter, die afkomstig moeten zijn uit verschillende taalgroepen. Verder worden de functies van secretaris en penningmeester onder de leden van de Raad verdeeld.<\/p>\n<p>Tot de taken van de Raad behoren het dagelijks bestuur, de vertegenwoordiging van het Instituut, het bijhouden van de ledenlijst, het opstellen van adviezen en het verzorgen van de administratie en het jaarverslag.<\/p>\n<p>Het mandaat van een raadslid duurt vier jaar en is eenmalig hernieuwbaar.
